Preventing & Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE)
LOYA’s Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) Programme addresses the social, economic, and governance factors that make individuals and communities vulnerable to radicalization and recruitment by violent extremist organizations.
The programme adopts a preventive and community-centred approach that emphasizes awareness creation, positive youth engagement, family support, social inclusion, and trust-building between communities and institutions. One of the programme’s flagship interventions is the ‘Know Your Child’ initiative, which equips parents and caregivers with knowledge and practical skills to identify early warning signs of radicalization and respond constructively.
LOYA also promotes interfaith dialogue, community awareness campaigns, and collaborative action involving youth, women, religious leaders, and local authorities. By strengthening community resilience and fostering positive relationships among stakeholders, the programme contributes to the creation of safer and more cohesive communities.
